Determination

Save American Education Fund engages in misleading fundraising. Across two election cycles (2023–2026), the PAC has raised over $1.2 million from donors while filing zero independent expenditures. The vast majority of disbursements have gone to fundraising vendors and operational costs.

Summary of Assessment Findings

The information below is based on FEC reports through March 31, 2026.  Any PAC financial activity after that date is not included in this analysis.

  • Save American Education Fund (SAEF) is a Super PAC registered with the FEC on May 1, 2024.
  • Across two election cycles (2023–2026), SAEF has raised $1,222,944 and disbursed over $1,018,393. It has filed zero independent expenditures in either cycle.
  • The overwhelming majority of disbursements in the 2023-2024 cycle went to fundraising (80.3%) and operations (14.3%) with $25,000 going for program (5.4%).
  • SAEF’s spending is dominated by a small group of recurring vendors which account for approximately 80% of all disbursements. Concentrated spending is characteristic of “scam PAC operations.”
  • The PAC’s fundraising base is primarily small-dollar recurring donors giving $5–$25 per month through ActBlue.
  • No individual associated with the SAEF is identified on the website – no leadership, no staff, no board.
  • SAEF’s website claims it is “dedicated to supporting candidates & causes who defend American students’ freedom to learn” and “connects education research to the realities of school board races.” Despite raising over $1.2 million, they have run minimal ads for school board elections.
  • There is evidence that the PAC engaged in deceptive advertising.
  • The address of the PAC is the same UPS Store as the address of the Treasurer/Custodian of Records. It is not a functioning office.
  • The PAC does not appear to have any Twitter/X, Instagram or TikTok presence to verify its activities.
  • On April 13, 2026, Steve Schear of Scambusters emailed Joshua Myles, the Treasurer of Save American Education Fund, and a partner in Capitol Compliance Associates, at josh@capitolcompliance.com with questions about the PAC’s operation. To date there has been no response.
